UMW Alumni Association More Information Up Arrow

The UMW Alumni Association created the Washington Scholars Program in 2000 to attract highly motivated, intellectually driven students to campus. The intent of the Washington Scholars program exemplifies the purpose of the Alumni Association, which is to promote the welfare and support the mission of the University of Mary Washington, to encourage an enduring relationship with the University by deepening alumni and student loyalty, and to develop and strengthen the bonds of mutual interest within the University community. The UMW Alumni Association funded partially or in whole a total of five Washington Scholarships. The Alumni Association also supported the Barbara Alden International Scholarship and the Grellet C. Simpson International Scholarship.
